What Are Good Morals All About?

Morals are not really about having rules and enforcing them. Teaching our children good VALUES is vital to them having good MORALS. Values are standards in behaviour which MUST be taught to children from an early age. When we teach our children to have good values, their standards of morals are much higher.

Here is an example I found quite interesting. “ Rather than tell your child, ‘You must get an ‘A’ in maths, we should teach them the value of having an education first, what will education do for them in the long run, give positive examples of how education has helped the world. When a child can grasp the value of education, the moral of a good education develops within them and he or she then has reasons to strive for that ‘A’ in Maths.

Examples of other values that we MUST teach our children include:

  • Good Manners
  • Love
  • Friendliness
  • Determination
  • Respect
  • Kindness
  • Politeness
  • Honesty
  • Consideration

Advantages of Good Moralled Children:

  • They are generally happier
  • They take responsibility for their actions
  • They are usually successful in their relationships with others
  • They do very well in the society
