Last week Newton farm primary school in Harrow, London had its SATs results quashed because of some concerns that some papers were altered by teachers. The school wrote to parents telling them the test scores in Maths and the new spelling, punctuation and grammar exam taken in May had been annulled after an investigation.

That was quite silly of the school to do that. Apparently at least 5 test papers were altered and this school was sometime voted best performing school in the country. The key to these tests is the children’s ability and not the reputation of the schools. What are your views on this news?
