Child to child bullying is real and happens in schools. Its consequences can affect children all through life and so it is very vital that parents are aware of this, watch out for signs and help prevent or stop our children from being bullied. Over the next few days, we will share some vital points on bullying that we as parents MUST be aware of.

Firstly what is bullying?

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behaviour among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behaviour is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time.

Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumours, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose.
